RESOLUTION NO. 9943
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL COMMENDING FIRE CHIEF
DOUGLAS G. SPORLEDER ON HIS MANY YEARS
OF SERVICE AND COMMITMENT TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell and the Santa Clara County Central Fire
Protection District (now known as the Santa Clara County Fire Department) entered
into a Fire Services Agreement on June 8, 1993;
WHEREAS, Fire Chief Sporleder has distinguished himself in the public
safety community and the City of Campbell by his professionalism during his tenure
as Fire Chief; and
WHEREAS, Fire Chief Sporleder has had a long-standing commitment to
providing excellent service and support to the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, it has been an honor to work with Fire Chief Sporleder for many
years within the parameters of the Fire Services Agreement and other fire-related
issues in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Campbell recognizes and commends Fire Chief Douglas G. Sporleder on his
excellent service, support, and commitment to the City of Campbell and wishes him
good health and happiness in his retirement.
