RESOLUTION NO. 9934
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH ARTISTS TOM ASKMAN AND LEA ANNE LAKE FOR THE
DOWNTOWN PARKING GARAGE PUBLIC ART
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell wishes to incorporate public art as part of the
downtown parking garage project; and
WHEREAS, the City budgeted $40,000 for the design, materials, labor,
fabrication and installation of public art for the downtown parking garage; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the parking garage is on schedule and the City
wishes to have the artist team in place to negotiate with the contractor on installation; and
WHEREAS, the City conducted an open call for qualifications and the artist team
of Askman and Lake was selected by a panel after an interview;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute an Agreement with
Tom Askman and Lea Anne Lake for said public art.
