RESOLUTION NO. 9929
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE NEIGHBORHOOD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell desires to have a program that would address
residents' concerns regarding speeding and cut-through traffic consistently throughout the City;
and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Police Departments have developed a draft
Neighborhood Traffic Management Program (NTMP) following guidelines set by the City
Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Public Works and Police pepartments have held a total of three public
meetings to obtain public input regarding the NTMP; and
WHEREAS, the proposed NTMP will require traffic counting services with an engineer's
estimate of $25,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the Neighborhood Traffic Management Program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the issuance of a
request for proposals for traffic counting services, and authorizes the Public Works Director to
execute an agreement with the most qualified respondent.
