RESOLUTION NO. 9910
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE
A CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MP A DESIGN
FOR THE DESIGN OF THE COMMUNITY CENTER MASTER PLAN
IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on November 21,2000, the City Council approved a conceptual design for
the Community Center Master Plan Improvements; and
WHEREAS, on April 17, 2001, the City Council authorized issuance of a Request for
Proposals for the design of the Community Center Master Plan Improvements; and
WHEREAS, on May 18, 2001, a Request for Proposals was advertised and mne
architectural and civil engineering firms responded; and
WHEREAS, on July 19, 2001, Public Works and Community Services staff interviewed
six consultants; and
WHEREAS, a final interview, site visits and reference checks were made by staff; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined that MP A Design has the expertise, experience and
manpower required to complete the design of the project according to the proposed project
schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute a Consultant Services Agreement with
MP A Design in an amount not to exceed $500,000 for the design of the Community Center
Master Plan Improvements (Project 00-01).
