RESOLUTION NO. 9902
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
TO INCREASE THE EXPENDITURE APPROPRIATION TO
PUBLIC WORKS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES PROGRAM (715)
IN THE FISCAL YEAR 2000/2001 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell adopted an operating
budget for Fiscal Year 2000/2001 in which funds were allocated for the Annual Spring
Cleanup conducted by Green Valley Disposal Company, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the Annual Spring Cleanup was very successful with the tonnage
collected exceeding prior years; and,
WHEREAS, the cleanup costs exceeded the funds allocated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell approves the attached Budget Adjustment in the amount of $11,700 to increase
the expenditure appropriation to the Public Works Environmental Services Program's
Professional and Specialized Services Account in the Fiscal Year 2000/2001 Operating
Budget.

The annual solid waste spring cleanup was extraordinarily successful this year and, as a result,
additional costs were incurred. Solid waste surcharges, which made up past shortfalls, are
no longer adequate to supplement special cleanup events.
