A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING AGENT ERIC S. PEARSON
ON IDS 29 YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Agent Eric S. Pearson's career with the City of Campbell began as a volunteer Reserve Police
Officer on August 23, 1971;
WHEREAS, Agent Eric S. Pearson was hired as a full-time Police Officer with the City of Campbell on August
1, 1972;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson was promoted to Agent on April 4, 1977;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson served on the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) as a sniper;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson served on the Crime Scene Investigation Team (CSRT) with his expertise being
evidence collection;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson served as the first member of the Allied Agencies Narcotic Enforcement Team
(AANET) from the Campbell Police Department for a two-year period;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson served in the capacity of a Field Training Officer (FTO) for many years;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson worked in the Detective Bureau performing Auto Burglary, Auto Theft, Court
Liaison, and Prisoner Transportation duties;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson has successfully and intentionally circumvented the will of every Chief of Police to
avoid taking the Sergeant's promotional exam;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson's reputation is one of exemplary attitude, dependability, thoroughness, contagious
enthusiasm, professionalism, respect, technical ability, genuineness, and role model;
WHEREAS, Agent Pearson has always had a long-standing commitment to providing superior service to the
Campbell community and his fellow members ofthe Police Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell recognizes and
commends Agent Eric S. Pearson on his retirement from the City of Campbell after 29 years of service.
