RESOLUTION NO. 10783
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR TO
AWARD THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE CAMPBELL COMMUNITY
CENTER BUILDING "B" HV AC UPGRADE PROJECT (CIP #04-07) AND AUTHORIZING
A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT OF $64,000 TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted a Capital Improvement Program budget for the
2003/04 fiscal year which includes project #04-07: HVAC Upgrade to Building B; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to install an upgraded HV AC system at Campbell Community
Center Building "B"; and
WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for this HV AC system have been provided to and
approved by the City's Building Official; and
WHEREAS, bids have been received on May 18, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Climate Master is the lowest responsible bidder with a total bid of $332,000
and
WHEREAS, a minor irregularity was made in the bid proposal by Climate Master but has
been determined not to affect the integrity of the bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are required to complete this project as specified; and
WHEREAS, funding is available in the Capital Improvement Project Reserve.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby waives the minor discrepancies in the bid and authorizes the Recreation and
Community Services Director to award the construction contract for Campbell Community
Center Building "B" HVAC Upgrade Project (CIP #04-07) to Climate Masters Heating and
Air and the City Council authorizes a transfer of $64,000 from CIPR to Capital Project #04-
07 Campbell Community Center Building 'B' HVAC (435.0407.7883) to provide adequate
funding for the project.
