RESOLUTION NO. 9849
A RESOLUTION OF THE CAMPBELL CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING A TWO MONTH CONSULTANT SERVICES AG EMENT
TO OPERATE A RENT CONCILIATION & MEDIATION PROG M
WHEREAS, the City has operated a tenant/landlord program since 1983 to help resolve
disagreements with tenants and rental property owners and to help prevent exce sive and
unreasonable rent increases while assuring rental property owners a fair and rea onable return on
investments; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell had previously contracted with Info ation & Referral
to handle the City's rent conciliation and mediation program; and
WHEREAS, Information & Referral is no longer able to provide this im ortant service;
WHEREAS, there is a need to continue providing tenant/landlord servic s; and
WHEREAS, there is not sufficient city staff to handle the volume of cal and cases; and
WHEREAS, Sharlene Kilgore, former employee of Information & Refe al has expressed
an interest in providing tenant/landlord services for the next two months.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Campbell ent rs into a two
month consultant services agreement with Sharlene Kilgore to operate the City fCampbell's
rent conciliation and mediation program.
