RESOLUTION NO. 9819
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0 CAMPBELL
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHO IZING
CALL FOR BIDS - WINCHESTER VIDEO DETECTION AN TRAFFIC
SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS (PROJECT 01-18)
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell was awarded $185,850 from th Federal Surface
Transportation Program or Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improve ent Program in
fiscal year 1999-2000 for the Winchester Boulevard Video Detection and Tr ffic Surveillance
Systems Project (01-18); and,
WHEREAS, total funding appropriated in the FY 2000/01 Operating B dget is $210,000;
and
WHEREAS, the Project would replace the Winchester Boulevar loop detectors
destroyed during the upcoming pavement management project for Fiscal Year 2000-2001; and,
WHEREAS, the project plans, specifications and estimates have been c mpleted; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to complete this project prior to the pcoming arterial
overlay street maintenance project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the project plans and specifications for the Winchester oulevard Video
Detection and Traffic Surveillance Systems Project (01-18), and authorizes he Public Works
Director to solicit separate formal bids for procurement of project-related equi ment and project
construction, respectively, and to award contracts to the lowest responsible bid rs.
