RESOLUTION NO. 9815
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CA BELL
APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE DOW TOWN
PARKING STRUCTURE - PROJECT 00-09; AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS
TO ADVERTISE AND SOLICIT BIDS FOR THIS PROJECT; AUTHORIZIN THE ISSUANCE
OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR DECORATIVE FEATURES AND UTHORIZING
THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSA , NEGOTIATE
AND EXECUTE A CONSULTANT CONTRACT FOR GEOTECHNICAL E GINEERING,
MATERIALS TESTING AND SPECIALIZED INSPECTION SER ICES
WHEREAS, final plans and specifications have been prepared for Downtown Parking Structure -
Project 00-09; and
WHEREAS, Public Works is now ready to advertise and solicit bids for this p oject; and
WHEREAS, there is a desire to incorporate decorative tile mosaics i to the building's
architecture to enhance the overall appearance of this major civic project; and
WHEREAS, additional geotechnical engineering, materials testing and
services are required for the successful completion of the project;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of ampbell that: (1)
The plans and specifications for Downtown Parking Structure - Project 00-09 are h reby approved and
the Public Works Department is authorized to advertise and solicit bids for this pro ect; (2) the Public
Works Director is authorized to solicit proposals for the design and installation of dec rative tile mosaics;
and (3) the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to issue a Request for Prop sal, negotiate and
execute a consultant contract for geotechnical engineering, materials testing and sp cialized inspection
services.
