A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A CONSULTANT
SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR THE DESIGN OF THE MCGLINCEY LANE
SIDEWALK PROJECT (01-23) AND NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER
TO THE EDITH MORLEY PARK PROJECT (99-13) FOR CONSTRUCTION OF
SIDEWALKS
WHEREAS, on September 19, 2000 a contract for the construction of Edith Morley
Park was awarded to Robert A. Bothman, Inc; and
WHEREAS, the adopted FY 2000-2001 Capital Improvement Program includes the
McGlincey Lane Sidewalk Project 01-23 for construction of sidewalks to access Edith Morley
Park; and
WHEREAS, construction of the sidewalks with the Edith Morley Park Project would
allow the sidewalks to be completed in time for the park opening, and would also result in
economies of scale and savings to the City; and
WHEREAS, the firm of Nichols, Vallerga & Associates has the expertise to complete
the design of the sidewalk improvements within the required timeframe;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to execute a Consultant Services Agreement with
Nichols Vallerga & Associates for the design of the McGlincey Lane Sidewalks (Project 01-23)
in an amount not to exceed $17,000, and authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate a
contract change order to the Edith Morley Park Project (99-13) for construction of the
McGlincey Lane sidewalks.
