RESOLUTION NO. 9782
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2000
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell duly called and ordered held in said
City a General Municipal Election on the 7th day of November, 2000, for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified electors thereof the election of two City Councilmembers, one City
Clerk, one City Treasurer and one Measure as follows: Measure F - Should Ordinance 1990
adding Section 2.04.160 - Terms Limits - to the Campbell Municipal Code be adopted?; and
WHEREAS, said General Municipal Election was held on Tuesday, November 7,2000, and in
accordance with the law and the votes thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof
ascertained, determined and declared in all respects as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell as
follows:
1. That the City Clerk of the City of Campbell be and she is hereby instructed to enter this
resolution on the minutes of the City Council as a statement of the result of said election.
2. That the whole number of ballots cast in said City at said General Municipal Election
was 14,267, or 68.7%.
3. That at said election the following candidates were submitted to the electors of said City
and that the number of votes given in said City for each of said candidates were as follows:

4. That by said Resolution calling said General Municipal Election for said City of
Campbell was divided into thirty five (35) voting precincts for the purpose of said election, and
that the number of votes cast in each of said precincts was as attached hereto and made a part
hereof and marked "Exhibit A. "
5. That all absent voters I ballots have been duly received and canvassed in time for and in
the manner required by law, and the result is outlined in "Exhibit A."
6. That the following candidates elected and following Measures approved are:

I, Kathryn J. Ferguson, Registrar of Voters of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, hereby declare that a GENERAL ELECTION was held in the CITY OF
CAMPBELL and consolidated with the Statewide General Election on November 7,2000,
for the purpose of electing the City Clerk; the City Treasurer and two members to the City
Council and submitting Measure F to the voters of said city; and to wit:
F Should an Ordinance adding Section 2.04.160 - Term Limits - to the
Campbell Municipal Code be adopted?
That the results of said Election were canvassed by the Office of the Santa Clara
County Registrar of Voters in accordance with applicable provisions of the California
Elections Code; and,
That the Statement of Votes Cast, to which this Certificate is attached, shows the
total number of votes for each candidate for said seats, and for and against Measure F in
the CITY OF CAMPBELL, and each of the respective precincts; and that the totals shown
for each candidate are true and correct.
