RESOLUTION NO. 9773
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING
OUR CITY FOREST FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE EDITH MORLEY PARK COMMUNITY
GARDEN, AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO AN
AGREEMENT WITH OUR CITY FOREST, AND APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is constructing the Edith Morley Park Community
Garden to be located within Edith Morley Park; and
WHEREAS, the Council authorized staff to solicit proposals from outside community
groups or organizations for the management of the Edith Morley Park Community Garden; and
WHEREAS, candidates were interviewed for managing the Edith Morley Park
Community Garden by staff and members of the Parks and Recreation Commission's Garden
Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission recommends the approval of Our
City Forest to manage the Edith Morley Park Community Garden;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby:
1. Approves Our City Forest, a local non-profit organization, to manage the Edith Morley
Park Community Garden;
2. Approves the attached budget adjustment in the amount of $7,500; and
3. Authorizes the Public Works Director to enter into an agreement for management of the
Edith Morley Park Community Garden with Our City Forest.
