RESOLUTION NO. 9744
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ACCEPTING CALIFORNIA LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT PROGRAM FUNDING,
APPROVAL OF THE ASSOCIATED CAPTIAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, AND
APPROVAL OF BUDGET AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, the State Legislature has enacted the California Law Enforcement Equipment
Program allowing local law enforcement jurisdictions to purchase related equipment and
technology based on their own needs; and
WHEREAS, the 2000-2001 State budget allocated $75,000,000 statewide for the
Program; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has received $114,121 from the State for the Program;
and
WHEREAS, the Police Department is currently evaluating their needs for such equipment
and technology;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
accepts the California Law Enforcement Equipment Program funding, approves the associated
Capital Improvement Project allowing the Police Department to purchase the law enforcement
related equipment and technology, and approves a budget amendment.
