RESOLUTION NO. 9741
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE SAN TOMAS EXPRESSWAY LANDSCAPING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA AND THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, San Tomas Expressway is a County Expressway; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell desires to have landscaping installed along certain portions of
said County Expressway in areas within the City of Campbell where the County does not normally
provide landscaping under the County Expressway Policy Resolution or under an Expressway
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, City and County desire and agree to install landscaping in a designated area on San
Tomas Expressway between Hamilton and Latimer Avenues; and
WHEREAS, City and County wish to specify responsibility as to installation and maintenance of
said landscaping;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby:
1. Authorizes the execution of an agreement between the County of Santa Clara and the City of
Campbell in regards to median landscaping on San Tomas Expressway;
2. Approves the installation of landscaping with the funds from the Conditions of Approval
Agreements with Pulte and Nextel;
3. Agrees to reimburse the County for actual costs plus 15% that are incurred while maintaining the
San Tomas Expressway median landscaping;
