BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE
CHANGE FROM PF (PUBLIC FACILITIES) TO R-l-6 (SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 860
HARRIET AVENUE. APPLICATION OF MR. BRUCE BOWEN, ON
BEHALF OF B&C HOMES. FILE NO. PLN2000-75 (ZC).
After notification and public hearing, as specified by law on the proposed amendments to
the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after presentation by the Community
Development Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did
determine that a change should be made to the Zoning Map based upon the following
findings:
1. The proposed R-l-6 Zoning District is consistent with the recommended Low Density
Residential Land Use Designation.
2. The proposed zoning is consistent with the zoning of surrounding residential zoning
district.
3. The proposed zoning is consistent with the San Tomas Neighborhood Plan land use
policies.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further finds and
concludes that:
1. The proposed zoning amendment establishes a desirable land use pattern.
2. The development and uses will be compatible with the other General Plan Elements
and will aid in the harmonious development of the immediate area.
3. An initial study has been prepared concluding that no unmitigated impacts have been
found for the project.
No substantial evidence has been presented which shows that the project, as currently
presented, and subject to the required conditions of approval, will have a significant
adverse impact on the environment.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council
enact the attached Ordinance making effective the recommended changes to the Zoning
Map.
