RESOLUTION NO. 9705
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A
COPS MORE 2000 GRANT
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice is soliciting applications for a
COPS More 2000 grant; and
WHEREAS, a sum of $150,000 would be available to the Campbell Police
Department over three years to partially fund the Public Safety Systems Specialist position
and a Community Services Officer position; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with a request from staff to
authorize submission of a grant application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL that the Police Department is authorized to submit a grant
application to the United States Department of Justice for a COPS More 2000 grant.
