RESOLUTION NO. 10811
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL COMMENDING OFFICER GARY P. MARSHALL ON HIS
30 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Officer Gary P. Marshall's career with the City of Campbell began on Odober 17,1977; and
WHEREAS, Officer Marshall has served mostly in the Patrol Division in an outstanding manner and with the highest
degree of professionalism during his 30 years with the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Officer Marshall has served as Acting Supervisor and also the Traffic Officer responsible for accident
investigations, abandoned vehicles, and abatements;
WHEREAS, Officer Marshall has been a Field Training Officer (FTO) , Team Leader on the Hostage Negotiations
Team, member of the Crime Scene Response Team, Bicycle Patrol; and
WHEREAS, Officer Marshall was assigned to Investigations on two separate occasions working fraud, forgery,
identity theft, burglary, and grand theft investigations; and
WHEREAS, Officer Marshall served three years as the Recording Secretary for the Califomia Financial Crime
Investigators Association and was assigned to the F.B.I. Task Force coordinating identity theft investigations; and
WHEREAS, Officer Marshall has recently been assigned to the Office of the Chief of Police where he designed,
developed, and implemented a model Policy and Procedure Manual completely in computer accessed format. This manual
includes all of the Police Department Procedures, as well as Santa Clara County and Califomia State procedures; and
WHEREAS, Officer Marshall has always had a long-standing commitment to providing excellent service to the
Campbell community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell recognizes and commends
Officer Gary P. Marshall on his retirement from the City of Campbell after 30 years of service.
