RESOLUTION NO. 10826
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDING
FROM THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY HISTORICAL HERITAGE COMMISSION
TO PRESERVE THE HISTORIC WATER TOWER AND
AUTHORIZING THE RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEM~NT FOR SAID FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the Hyde Park Water Tower was constructed in 1927-1928 and is currently
designated as a City of Campbell Historic Point of Interest; and
WHEREAS, Santa Clara County's Historical Heritage Commission is offering a grant program
for historic properties on park land within Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell wishes to submit an application for these funds for the
preservation of the Water Tower at Hyde Park - an Historic Point of Interest; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby authorize submittal of a grant application to the Santa Clara County Historical Heritage
Commission to preserve the historic water tower. Be it further resolved that the City Council
of the City of Campbell authorizes the Recreation and Community Services Director to enter
into an agreement with the County of Santa Clara for said funding.
