A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING BARTEL ASSOCIATES, LLC AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR THE
PROVISION OF ACTUARIAL SERVICES REQUIRED FOR THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF GASB 45
WHEREAS, City Staff issued a request for proposals (RFP) for Professional
Actuarial Services Required for the Implementation of GASB 45; and
WHEREAS, City staff reviewed the qualifications and experience of the
submitted proposals and concluded that the actuarial consulting firm of Bartel
Associates, LLC best meets the requirements of the City's RFP dated September 7,
2007; and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by the consulting firm of Bartel
Associates, LLC, for actuarial services as quoted for the City, is not to exceed
$14,500 for the initial valuation, and $15,500 for the first biennial actuarial valuation,
for a total contract not to exceed $30,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proposal for Professional
Actuarial Services Required for Implementation of GASB 45 from Bartel Associates,
LLC be accepted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Director is authorized to
execute an agreement with said firm, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the amount of $14,500 be appropriated
from the General Fund Reserve for Operations to fund this expenditure.
