RESOLUTION NO. 10859
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONSULTANT SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH LEW EDWARDS GROUP FOR PRE-ELECTIONS
CONSULTATION SERVICES
WHEREAS; the City Manager's Office issued a Request For Qualifications (RFQ) for
pre-elections consultation services dated November 7, 2007; and
WHEREAS; five responses from qualified consulting firms were submitted for
consideration; and
WHEREAS; four of the five firms submitting proposals are from the San Francisco Bay
Area; and
WHEREAS; an internal selection committee consisting of staff and one Councilmember
met and interviewed the Bay Area firms; and
WHEREAS, Lew Edwards group submitted a proposal that is the most advantageous to
the City, taking into consideration the evaluation factors set forth in the RFQ, input from
the City's selection committee, references, and cost that demonstrate that the firm is
qualified and has the required expertise to assist the City of Campbell for a November
2008 revenue enhancement ballot measure.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a Consultant Services Agreement with
Lew Edwards for the purpose of providing pre-elections consultation services consistent
with the City's RFQ and what is presented in the consultant's proposal.
