RESOLUTION NO. 10865
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING BIDS
FOR REPLACEMENT OF AN UNMARKED POLICE
SPECIAL ENFORCEMENT VEHICLE
WHEREAS, replacement of one (1) special unmarked police vehicle is funded in the FY
2007/08 Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Budget; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Campbell's Purchasing Policy if the
equipment's estimated fair market value is greater than twenty-five thousand dollars the
formal bid process has to be used; and
WHEREAS, the existing unmarked Volvo unit is scheduled for replacement; and
WHEREAS, a Toyota Camry has been identified as a suitable replacement to the
existing Unmarked Volvo unit currently in use; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the purchase of one (1) special unmarked police vehicle
not to exceed $32,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approve specifications
and call for bids for one (1) Toyota Camry not to exceed $32,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works
Director to award the contract for this replacement vehicle.
