RESOLUTION NO. 10872
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE A
CONSULTANT SERVICES CONTRACT FOR THE CONCEPTUAL DESIGN OF
PROJECT 07-06 HAMILTON/HIGHWAY 17 OFF-RAMP WIDENING
WHEREAS, the Hamilton/Highway 17 off-ramp has been determined to
need an additional 400 foot through lane to improve this intersection's Level of
Service (LOS); and
WHEREAS, TranSystems was determined to be the best consultant to
perform the conceptual design of the Hamilton/Highway 17 off-ramp widening;
and
WHEREAS, TranSystems proposed professional consulting services fee
of $ 76,190.00 which has been reviewed by staff and is considered to be
reasonable for the proposed consulting services; and
WHEREAS, Staff recommends that a contingency of $10,000 be
encumbered to address unforeseen conditions or design requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Campbell hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and
execute a consultant services agreement for the conceptual design of the
Hamilton/Highway 17 off-ramp widening in an amount not to exceed $76,190 and
encumber and administer a design contingency of $10,000 for a total not to
exceed of $86,190.
