OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A STREET NAME OF
CHAMBERLIN COURT FOR THE NEW PUBLIC STREET FOR A
PREVIOUSLY-APPROVED TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAP
(PLN2002-41) TO CREATE 30 RESIDENTIAL LOTS AND FOUR
PRIVATE DRIVEWAY (TURNER WAY) LOTS AT 1255-1461 W.
HACIENDA AVENUE IN AN R- 1-9 (SINGLE-FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL, 9,000 SQUARE FOOT MINIMUM LOT SIZE)

SERVICES, INC.
WHEREAS; The proposed street name of Chamberlin Court has been reviewed and
recommended for approval by the street naming sub-committee of the Civic Improvement
Commission;
WHEREAS; Chamberlin is on the list of standing historically significant street names that was
prepared by the Civic Improvement Commission and adopted by the City Council in 1998;
WHEREAS; the name Chamberlin is drawn from Veva Chamberlin, the 1974 Citizen of the
Year;
WHEREAS; No identical street name already exists. The Police Communications Division has
reviewed the proposed name and determined that it does not pose any problems in emergency
response situations in terms of pronunciation, duplication of an existing street name, or other
public safety logistical factors;
WHEREAS; The proposed street name is compatible with other street names in the area; and,
WHEREAS; The proposed street name will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace,
morals, comfort or general welfare of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such
proposed use, or be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood
or to the general welfare of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
approves a street name of Chamberlin Court for the new public street for a previously-approved
Tentative Subdivision Map (PLN2002-41) to create 30 residential lots and four private driveway
(Turner Way) lots at 1255-1461 W. Hacienda Avenue.
