CC Resolution 10891 RESOLUTION NO. 10891 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL ADOPTING ADMINISTRATIVE FINDINGS IN SUPPORT OF GRANTING A SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT WHEREAS, the City Council finds as follows with respect to the application of the Downtown Campbell Business Association for a special event permit: 1. The event will be held on July 12, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; 2. The event will be located in Downtown Campbell (Campbell Avenue from Second Street to the railroad tracks); 3. The event will feature Big band music on two stages with a dance floor at each; 4. Food vendors will sell barbecued foods and beverages, including beer and wine; 5. Arts and crafts booths will be limited to thirty (30); 6. The applicant will provide multiple trash and recycling receptacles; 7. The applicant will provide private security for the event; 8. Alcohol sales will cease by 8:00 p.m.; 9. All volunteers serving alcohol shall participate in training from the Alcoholic Beverage Control Department; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, based on the foregoing findings that the City Council further finds and concludes as follows: 1. The special event will not disrupt to an unreasonable extent the movement of other traffic or create any safety hazard as a result of such other traffic being stopped or diverted; 2. Sufficient police services can be provided to assure proper traffic control and the orderly conduct of the special event; 3. The streets, roads and highways over which the special event will travel or on which it will be conducted are of sufficient size and construction to safely accommodate the number of participants and the size, height and weight of any vehicles, floats, equipment or animals participating in the event; 4. The special event will not interfere with any other public events to be conducted on the same day; 5. The special event is unlikely to cause injury to persons or property or create an unreasonable disturbance of the peace; 6. The cumulative impact of other previous special events would not create an undue strain on public resources.
