RESOLUTION NO. 9682
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE
SOLICITATION OF BIDS FOR PROJECT 01-72 ANNUAL SIDEWALK
MAINTENANCE, PROJECT 96-09 ACCESSIBILITY RAMPS, AND PROJECT
96-10 BICYCLEIPEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS-
SIDEWALK INFILL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the adopted 2000-2001 operating budget includes funds for sidewalk
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, the adopted 1999-2000 Capital Improvement Program includes
funds for Project 96-10 Bicycle/Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the adopted 1999-2000 Capital Improvement Program includes
funds for Project 96-09 - Accessibility Ramps; and
WHEREAS, on April 20, 1999, the City Council approved the implementation of
a Sidewalk Infill Program; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified locations to be included in this year's sidewalk
maintenance project through service requests, visual observations in the vicinity of
service requests, and additional locations that need repairs prior to the pavement
maintenance project; and
WHEREAS, staff has also identified intersections that need accessibility ramps,
and
WHEREAS, staff has received two applications from property owners to be
included in the Sidewalk Infill Program and has included the improvements for two
properties needing sidewalks, curb and gutters, driveway approaches, and asphalt
concrete street frontage.
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for the improvements listed above have
been prepared;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the plans and specifications for the construction of Project 01-72 Annual
Sidewalk Maintenance Project, Project 96-09 Accessibility Ramps, and Project 96-10
Bicycle-Pedestrian Safety Improvements-Sidewalk Infill Program, are hereby approved
and the Public Works Director is authorized to solicit bids for the construction of the
project improvements.
