A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE REVISED TIMELINE FOR THE
COMPLETION OF UUD #8 AND AUTHORIZING A REVISED
FUNDING ALLOCATION
WHEREAS, on January 20, 1998, the City Council authorized the formation of Underground
Utility District No.8; and
WHEREAS, on January 20, 1998 the City Council in the formation of Underground Utility
District No.8 set a deadline of March 31, 1999 when all affected properties had to be ready to accept
underground service; and
WHEREAS, PG&E budgetary and schedule problems have delayed the project; and
WHEREAS, on November 16, 1999 the City Council approved the extension of the conversion
deadline to April 15, 2000 to accommodate delays associated with PG&E; and
WHEREAS, PG&E recently provided a revised and significantly higher estimated cost for the
construction of UUD#8 than was originally provided; and
WHEREAS, additional Rule 20A funds must be allocated to the project to provide the level of
funding now estimated to be required to complete UUD#8; and
WHEREAS, the timeframe for completion of UUD#8 will be revised to June 1,2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the use of future Rule 20A funds for the completion of UUD#8 and revises the
completion date of the UUD#8 to June 1, 2001.
