RESOLUTION NO. 9660
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING A
ONE- YEAR EXTENSION OF THE ANNUAL FUEL
PURCHASING CONTRACT WITH V ALLEY OIL CaMP ANY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell, on April 20, 1999,
awarded a contract to Valley Oil Company for annual fuel purchasing beginning May 17,
1999; and
WHEREAS, the contract allows for two additional one-year extensions based
upon mutual agreement between the City and the supplier; and
WHEREAS, Valley Oil Company has offered to extend the contract for an
additional year at the same mark-up rate that is currently in effect.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the contract for annual fuel purchasing be extended from May 17, 2000, to
May 17, 2001, at the mutually agreed to mark-up rate of $0.0245 per gallon above the
average daily price charged by all providers of fuel at San Jose terminals as set forth in
the Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) Pad 4/5 Report at the time the fuel is delivered;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that
the Public Works Director is authorized to extend the contract for an additional year
effective May 17, 2001, upon mutual agreement between the City and Valley Oil
Company.
