RESOLUTION NO. 9651
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING FINAL PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING
SOLICITATION OF BIDS - BURROWS ROAD/SAN TOMAS AQUINO
ROAD (STAR) RECONSTRUCTION - PROJECT 98-02 PHASE II-C
WHEREAS, on November 17, 1998, staff presented to the City Council at a Study
Session a five year pavement maintenance program that included the reconstruction of
Burrows/San Tomas Aquino Road; and
WHEREAS, on May 18, 1999, the City Council approved the conceptual plan for the
Burrows Road/San Tomas Aquino Road Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, on February 15, 2000, a status report on the project was presented to the
City Council; and
WHEREAS, utility relocations are necessary to accommodate the construction of the
new improvements and individual permits for these relocations will be issued; and
WHEREAS, several community meetings have been held and the final plans and
specifications have been proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Burrows Road/San Tomas
Aquino Road Project (98-02 Phase II-C) and authorizes the Public Works Director to issue
permits to the utility companies for facility relocations and upgrades and authorizes the Public
Works Director to issue the plans and specifications for the Burrows Road/San Tomas Aquino
Road Project for public bid.
