street improvements including: concrete sidewalks and driveway
approaches (1,188 sq. ft.), asphalt street paving
( sq. ft.), concrete curb and gutter (
line ft.), standard electroliers ( ea.):
the total cost of said street improvements having been estimated
by said City to be approximately EIGHT HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS
($890.00 ).
WHEREAS, the parties hereto have agreed that said improvements
shall be installed at such time as the City Council of said CITY
calls for them
NOW, THEREFORE, if said principal shall well and truly do and
perform its obligations as set forth above, on its part to be done
and perfor.med at the time and in the manner specified therein, then
this obligation shall be null and void; otherwise this bond shall
remain in full force and effect.

SUBJECT: Utility Service
Gentlemen:
As a result of recent conversations, this letter is to advise
you of the proposed locations for utility service for the above-
referenced development.
Pacific Gas and Electric (Gas) - Existing line is at the
lip of gutter on the easterly side of Bascan
Avenue. The City will allow excavation of street
area for service.
Pacific Gas and Electric (Electric) - Service is to be
underground from nearest available point. The
City will not allow the street area of Bascom
Avenue to be excavated for placement of service.
Sanitation District No. 4 (Sewer) - The City will not allow
the street area of Bascom Avenue to be excavated.
Service is available from rear property line
according to Sanitation District No.4.
San Jose 'Water ~vorks (water) - The City will not allO\'1 the
street area of Bascom Avenue to be excavated
except for a bore pit. If boring is not feasible,
service is apparently available from the rear
property line.
City of campbell (storm) - If an underground storm drain is
necessary, there is an inlot system serving the
northerly portion of the shopping center. There
is also a catch basin on the easterly side of
Bascom Avenue with sufficient invert to provide
dra inAge .

With the above""'lllentioned condit.ions, you must bear in mind that the
City has just g'one to great expense to bnprove Bascan Avenue t.o the
ultimate condition. You must also realize that there appears to be
service points available which would not necessitate the excavation
of the new street pavement. It is to these pOints which we recommend
you service.
