RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
TO REDUCE TIME LIMITED PARKING VIOLATION FINE AMOUNTS
WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with a request from staffto reduce fines for
time limited parking violations; and
WHEREAS, proposed fines for time limited parking violations are consistent with fine
amounts in other Santa Clara County communities; and
WHEREAS, Campbell Municipal Code Section 10.24.155 is not punitive and should
therefore be removed from the City of Campbell Schedule of Fees and Charges; and
WHEREAS, Section 10.24.165 - Continued Parking Violation, was removed from the
Campbell Municipal Code in 2001.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes:
1. A reduction in the fine amount for time limited parking violations from $50 to $30;
2. Consolidation of fine listings in the City of Campbell Schedule of Fees and Charges for former CMC
Sections 10.24.100 through 10.24.115 into one fine listing for Section 10.24.095(c) - Time Limited
Parking;
3. A reduction in the fine amount for CMC Section 10.24.160 - Removal of Markings, from $100 to
$50;
4. Deletion of the fine listing in the City of Campbell Schedule of Fees and Charges for CMC Section
10.24.165.
