BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL HONORING
PAT LAUFMAN AS 2002 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Pat Laufman has been selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce as 2002
Citizen of the Year in recognition of over 30 years of volunteer service to the Campbell
community and at Campbell schools; and
WHEREAS, Pat Laufman will be honored at the Chamber of Commerce annual "Celebrate
Campbell" banquet on March 22, 2003; and
WHEREAS, Pat Laufman during the past twenty years donated countless hours volunteering
and fund raising for Campbell Schools and the Campbell Little League; and
WHEREAS, Pat Laufman currently manages the Campbell Museum stores located in the
downtown Courtyard and Ainsley carriage house, is an active member of the Campbell
Museum Foundation Board a, nd a docent for the Museum School Program; and
WHEREAS, Pat Laufman is well known for her generous donations of beautifully decorated
baskets for many events such as the Festival of Tables, the city-wide Campbell Toy Program,
the Celebrate Campbell dinner, and the Country Woman's Club Crab and Pasta Feed; and
WHEREAS, Pat Laufman is a long time member of the Country Woman's Club having served
as Club President and on their Scholarship and Endowment Committees which help local high
school students further their education.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and honors Pat Laufman on being named 2002 Campbell's Citizen of the Year in
recognition of her service to the Campbell community and her continued involvement in
community and civic affairs.
