RESOLUTION NO. 9634
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN ADDITIONAL POLICE DEPARTMENT
PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER POSITION
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is a designated Public Safety Answering
Point, charged with receiving emergency requests for police, fire and medical
services;
WHEREAS, the Police Department manages a Communications program
for the purpose of recording and directing emergency requests for services and
coordinating City resources;
WHEREAS, the work of Public Safety Dispatchers assigned to the
Communications Center is essential to providing effective emergency
communications services to the community;
WHEREAS, THE City of Campbell has been presented with a request
from staff to authorize an additional Police Department Public Safety Dispatcher
position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Police Department hire an additional Public Safety Dispatcher
to supplement staffing in the Communications Center.
