CC Resolution 9608 RESOLUTION NO. 9608 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed under the provisions of the Campbell Municipal Code, Section 2.14.040, to adopt personnel rules for the administration of the personnel system; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend such Personnel Rules and Regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby adopt the amendments outlined in the attached Exhibit A. PASSED AND ADOPTED, this 16th day of November, 1999, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Councilmembers: Watson, Dougherty, Dean, Kennedy, Furtado NOES: Councilmembers: None ABSENT: Councilmembers: None APPROVED: ~~~~ ATTEST: tL iJ:Au- Anne Bybee, City Clerk Exhibit A Modification to City of Campbell Personnel Rules and Regulations 17.26 Standby Pay - Confidential Employees and Employees Represented by Campbell Municipal Employees' Association: Standby assignments outside the regular work schedule will first be made on a voluntary basis. In the absence of volunteers, the Department or Division Head will designate standby assignments. Standby assignments will be made in twelve-hour increments and one employee may be assigned multiple twelve-hour increments. Standby pay shall be compensated at the rate of two (2) hours of straight time for every twelve hours of standby assignment. An employee assigned to standby must be available by telephone or pager during his/her standby assignment and if called in, must report to the directed location within forty-five (45) minutes of being notified. An employee on standby assignment must be available to respond to work within this time frame and be fit to perform the duties of his/her job. If an employee on standby assignment is called in to work, he/she will be compensated at the regular overtime rate for the hours worked, once he/she reports, in addition to the standby pay.
