RESOLUTION NO. 9601
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
CONTINUING CALTRANS' PREAPPROVED DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
ENTERPRISE (DEE) PROGRAM FOR FEDERALLY FUNDED PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 7727 on May 2, 1989,
establishing a Disadvantaged Business EIiterprise (DBE) Program; and
WHEREAS, the minimum goal is 10% of the total contract cost for all Federally
funded projects; and
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has established new
regulations for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Programs (49 CFR Part 26); and
WHEREAS, Caltrans is awaiting approval of their program by DOT; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell on an interim basis may continue using Caltrans'
Preapproved Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program until such time as it can prepare its
own program for approval by Caltrans;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell does hereby cOIitinue using Caltrans Preapproved Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
(DBE) Program for federally funded projects until such time as it can prepare a revised
program for approval by Caltrans incorporating the new Federal requirements.
