RESOLUTION NO. 10944
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE DISOPOSTION OF VEHICLES DONATED ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF RIOVERDE, MEXICO
WHEREAS, in November 2001, the City Council authorized the execution of a
Memorandum of Understanding with the International City/County Management
Association (ICMA), and the City of Rioverde, Mexico; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has continued to maintain contact with officials
in Rioverde for the purpose of ongoing support and technical assistance; and
WHEREAS, on October 16, 2007, the City of Campbell adopted a resolution
authorizing the acceptance of four vehicles for donation to the City of Rioverde; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rioverde has worked diligently to obtain Mexican
Customs authorization to import the four donated vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Mexican customs regulations will only allow for the importation of
two of the four donated vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor of Rioverde has requested that the City of Campbell
dispose of the two vehicles that are ineligible for importation on behalf of the City of
Rioverde.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the disposal of the vehicles identified on Exhibit A,
attached hereto on behalf of the City of Rioverde, Mexico.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes any and all
proceeds from the sale of the vehicles to be remitted to the City Rioverde, Mexico.

To whom it may concern,
Sergio Gama Dufour, Mayor of the Municipio de Rioverde, S.L.P. Mexico,
hereby state that our city received from the City of Campbell the donation of
the following vehicles:

Nonetheless, the Mexican legislation does not allow the importation of the
above vehicles. therefore on behalf of the Municipio de Rioverde, I authorize
Bob Kass. Director of Public Works, and/or Donald R. Burr. Mayor of the City of
Campbell to trade in the vehicles to whomever they decide and sell them to
the price they consider the most convenient.
This authorization is anted to them with no restrictions or limits whatsoever in
the City of Rioverde, .L.P. on July 14th, 2008.
