RESOLUTION NO.
10948
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXTEND CONTRACT FOR
EDUCATION AND OUTREACH CONSULTANT SERVICES
WHEREAS; in January 2008, after the City of Campbell conducted a competitive RFQ process,
the Lew Edwards Group was selected to provide pre-electoral consulting services in connection
with the City's outreach efforts and exploration of a possible revenue source; and
WHEREAS; scope of work included providing the City with technical assistance in developing
an education and outreach program to communicate the City's financial situation to residents
and to get public input on service priorities; and
WHEREAS; the consultants' agreement expired on July 31, 2008; and
WHEREAS; City staff seeks additional consultant services to prepare and mail two more
informational mailers; and
WHEREAS; City staff would like to extend the Lew Edwards Group agreement through October
31, 2008 for services related to the two informational mailers' content and design.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorize the City Manager or his designee to award an extension to the Lew Edward Group
contract in an amount not to exceed $6,000 for additional consultation services.
