PC Res 3152RESOLUTION NO. 3152
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM R-M-S
(MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO PD (PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 194
REDDING ROAD, AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED
EXHIBIT A, APPLICATION OF MR. GLENN CAHOON.
FILE NO. ZC 97-01.
After notification and public hearing, as specified by law on the proposed amendments to
the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after presentation by the Community
Development Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did
determine that the change as shown in the attached Exhibit A, entitled Map of Said
Property, should be made to the Zoning Map based upon the following findings:
1. The proposed Zone Change is consistent with the General Plan.
2. The proposed density is no greater than that allowed by the R-M-S (Multiple Family
Residential) Zoning District.
o
The proposed PD Zoning will permit the use of single-family units by allowing
greater flexibility in placement of the buildings, and thus a design to fit the site and
the neighborhood.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further finds and
concludes that:
1. The proposed development and uses will result in a more desirable environment and
use of the land than would be possible under any other zoning classification.
2. The development and uses are compatible with the General Plan of the City and will
aid in the harmonious development of the immediate area.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council
enact the attached Ordinance making effective the recommended changes to the Zoning
Map.
