A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR COMMERCIAL BANKING SERVICES
AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT
WITH WELLS FARGO-BANK, N.A.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell previously approved the
issuance of a request for proposals (RFP) for Commercial Banking Services, and
WHEREAS, City staff reviewed the qualifications and experience of the six
banks submitting proposals; conducted interviews, software demonstrations, and
reference checks of the four top proposers; and has determined that Wells Fargo
Bank, N.A. best meets the overall requirements of the City's RFP dated July 7, 2008;
and;
WHEREAS, the proposals results and staff's recommendation were reviewed
and discussed with the City's Finance Sub-Committee, and
WHEREAS, the City Finance Sub-Committee agreed with staff's
recommendation to award the contract to Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proposal for Commercial
Banking Services submitted by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. be accepted by the Council,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Finance Director is directed to
negotiate and execute a four- year agreement with Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. with an
option to extend an additional two years for a total of six years.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this eighteenth day of November, 2008, by the
following roll call vote:
