RESOLUTION NO. 10971
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL REJECTING
ALL BIDS FOR THE HAMILTON AVENUE/PHOENIX DRIVE SIGNALIZATION
PROJECT (CIP No. 08-05) AND AUTHORIZING THE READVERTISEMENT OF
PROJECT 08-05
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 10957 approving the plans and
specifications and authorizing the call for bids for the Hamilton Avenue/Phoenix Drive
Signalization Project (CIP No. 08-05) on October 7,2008; and
WHEREAS, plans and specifications for constructing the Hamilton Avenue/Phoenix
Drive Signalization Project (CIP No. 08-05) were solicited and opened on November 12,
2008; and
WHEREAS, the specifications for the construction of the Hamilton Avenue/Phoenix
Drive Signalization Project (CIP No. 08-05) contained specific provisions that were
inconsistent with the Notice Inviting Bids.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that all bids for the construction of the Hamilton Avenue/Phoenix Drive Signalization
Project (CIP No. 08-05) received on November 12, 2008 are hereby rejected and that
the City Council of the City of Campbell authorizes the Public Works Director to
readvertise and call for formal bids for the construction of the Hamilton Avenue/Phoenix
Drive Signalization Project (CIP No. 08-05) and to award a contract to the lowest
responsible bidder.
