A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE PUBLIC ART FOR THE EAST CAMPBELL AVENUE
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR
TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSULTANT DESIGN CONTRACT FOR
THE EAST CAMPBELL AVENUE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City's public artist, Madeline Wiener, has completed the
sculpture conceptual designs for the East Campbell Avenue Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, the designs were previously shown to the Civic Improvement
Commission at a study session on December 11, 2008 and to the City Council at a
study session on February 3, 2009; and
WHEREAS, an amendment is needed to the AECOM consultant design contract
to account for additional design work for the bridge widening, provide structural
calculations and details for the public art and provide construction services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby approves the public art for the East Campbell Avenue Improvement
Project and authorizes the Public Works Director to amend the AECOM consultant
design contract in an amount not to exceed $92,000, for a total design contract of
$502,000.
