RESOLUTION NO. 11016
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING TO SUBMIT APPLICATION TO LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION
COMMISSION (LAFCO) FOR REALIGNMENT OF CITY LIMIT BOUNDARY ALONG WEST
PARR AVENUE, AND FOR DE-ANNEXATION OF A POCKET RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG
THE SOUTH SIDE OF WEST PARR AVENUE
WHEREAS, ownership of public right-of-way is divided among the City of Campbell, the
Town of Los Gatos and the County of Santa Clara, and
WHEREAS, the existing Urban Service Area/Sphere of Influence is located 25-tt south
of the street centerline; and
WHEREAS, response to public safety, public facility maintenance, and jurisdictional
control of development projects can be greatly enhanced by the realignment of USA/SOl; and
WHEREAS, the County of Santa Clara has agreed to reimburse the City of Campbell
for applying rubberized cape seal within the County pockets on the south side of West Parr
Avenue,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
authorizes the Public Works Director to submit an application to LAFCO for realignment of the
City limit boundary along West Parr Avenue and de-annexation of a pocket right-of-way along
the south side of West Parr Avenue; and requesting a waiver of LAFCO fees.
