RESOLUTION NO. 11024
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION
FOR A CHRP GRANT
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice is soliciting applications for CHRP
grants; and,
WHEREAS, an award of approximately $419,760 could be available to the Campbell
Police Department over three years to fund the entry-level salary and benefits of one FTE
full-time police officer position; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with a request from staff to authorize
submission of a grant application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Police Department is authorized to submit an application to the United States
Department of Justice for a CHRP grant.
