RESOLUTION NO. 11026
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALLING FOR BIDS FOR JANITORIAL
SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED FOR CITY BUILDINGS AND
CITY PARKS RESTROOMS
WHEREAS, the existing contracts for janitorial services will expire on June 30,
2009; and
WHEREAS, the specifications for services for City buildings and parks restrooms
provide for a four-year contract with one four-year extension; and
WHEREAS, there is potential benefit to both the City of Campbell and Santa
Clara County Library with coordination and collaboration of Library facilities
maintenance with City custodial and facilities maintenance services; and
WHEREAS, in order to more fully evaluate the possible benefits of collaborative
facilities maintenance, the City and the County have developed an additive alternative
for custodial services at the Library which has been included as part of the bid
specifications for the City's custodial contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council does hereby
approve specifications for custodial services at City buildings and parks restrooms,
including an additive alternative for Library custodial services, authorizes a Call for Bids
for said janitorial services, and authorizes the Public Works Director to award a contract
to the lowest responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed the proposed budget.
