PC Res 2437RESOLUTION NO. 2437 PLANNING COMMISSION BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF ZONE CHANGES AS FOLLOWSt (1) C-3-S (CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO C-2-S (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) ODD NUMBERED PROPERTIES 2015 TO 2175 S. WINCHESTER BLVD; 2140 & 2160 S. WINCHESTER BLVD.; AND 33 & 38 W. RINCON AVE. ' (2) C-3-S/INTERIM (CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT COMMERCIAL/INTERIM ZONE) TO C-2-S INTERIM (GENERAL COMMERCIAL/INTERIM ZONE) FOR EVEN. NUMBERED PROPERTIES 2006 TO 2120 S. WINCHESTER BLVD. (3) M-2-S (HEAVY INDUSTRIAL) TO M-1-S (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) FOR EVEN NUMBERED PROPERTIES 720 TO 750 CAMDEN AVE., 500 TO 550 RAILWAY AVE., AND 175 CORTNER AVE. AS SHOWN ON THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT (CITY-INITIATED; ZC 86-13). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the proposed amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell, and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did determine that the change as shown in the attached Exhibit A should be made to the Zoning Map based on the following findings: 1. The proposed zoning will be consistent with the Land Use Element of the General Plan. 2. The proposed zoning will be compatible with the surrounding zonings and land uses. 3. The proposed zoning will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals., comfort or general welfare of persons residing or working in the neighborhood, or be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City. The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto making effective the recommended changes to the Zoning Map. BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING THE ZONING MAP AS FOLLOWS: (1) C-3-S (CENTRAL BIISINESS DISTRICT) TO C-2-S (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) ODD NUMBERED PROPERTIES 2015 TO 2175 S. WINCHESTER BLVD; 2140 & 2160 S. WINCHESTER BLVD.; AND 33 & 38 W. RINCON AVE. (2) C-3-S/INTERIM (CENTRAL ROSINESS DISTRICT COMMERCIAL/INTERIM ZONE) TO C-2-S INTERIM (GENERAL COMMERCIAL/INTERIM ZONE) FOR EVEN NUMBERED PROPERTIES 2006 TO 2120 S. WINCHESTER BLVD. The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell is hereby changed and amended by adopting the attached Exhibit A entitled Map of Said Properties, as per the City-initiated zone changes as indicated in the above description and on the attached exhibit. --- SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall become effective thirty days following its passage and adoption and shall be published once within fifteen days upon passage and adoption in the San Jose Mercury News, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara.
