PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the '
application of Mr. Ohan Manoukian for a use permit and approval of plans
to allow the conversion of a garage to living space on property known as
750 Century Drive in an R-1 (Single Family Residential) Zoning District,
as per application filed in the Planning Department on May 14, 1986, and
after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents, and opponents,
the hearing was closed. (UP 86-07).
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Commission did find
as follows:
1. That the establishment, maintenance, and operation of the
proposed use will not be detrimental to the health, safety,
peace, morals, comfort, or general welfare of persons residing or
working in the neighborhood of such use, or be detrimental or
injurious to the property and improvements in the neighborhood or
the general welfare of the City.
2. The property provides two on-site parking spaces as required by
the code.
3. The converted garage will match the house and blend into the
neighborhood.
4. The converted garage will not be used as a separate living unit.
Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby grant the
requested use permit, subject to the following conditions:
1. Applicant to submit revised plans for the approval of the Planning
Director indicating stucco in place of the wood siding for the garage
conversion; and complete all work within six months of Planning
Commission approval.
2. Applicant to obtain all necessary permits from the Building
Department.
The applicant is notified as part of this application that he is required
to comply with all applicable codes and/or ordinances of the City of
Campbell and the State of California which pertain to this development and
are not herein specified.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of June 1986 by the following roll call
vote:
