PLANNING COMMISSION
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A CHANGE TO
THE ZONING MAP AS SHOWN IN EXHIBIT A (APPLICATION OF
MR. KURT ANDERSON, ZC 86-01).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell; and, after presentation
by the Planning Director, proponents, and opponents, the Planning Commission
did determine that the change as shown in Exhibit A, attached, should not be
made to the Zoning Map based on the following findings
1. The proposed project density (9.7 units per gross acre) exceeds the
number of dwelling units that would be permitted under the current
R-M-S zoning of the subject property.
2. The project design provides a minimal area of private outdoor spaces.
The majority of the project landscaping is between the street frontage
and the buildings.
3. .The Architectural Advisor expresses concerns regarding the use of
building materials and architectural features.
4. The Planning Commission is of the opinion that the proposed plan has
not demonstrated a more desirable use than under any other zoning
classification. -
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City
Council deny this zone change.
