PC Res 2282RESOLUTION NO. 2282 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AMENDMENTS TO THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN (GP 84-03). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed City-initiated amendments to the Housing Element of the General Plan, and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed. (GP 84-03) After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission does find as follows: 1. The proposed Housing Element would be consistent with the General Plan. 2. The proposed changes are in the best interest of the City of Campbell. 3. The proposed Housing Element contains comments and suggestions from the State Department of Housing and Commnity Development. 4. The Commission is recommending approval with the elimina- tion of III - F(6) "Investiga.te possibility of converting vacant school sites to residential use or a combination of residential/open space use." The Planning Commission does hereby adopt a Resolution recommending that the City Council adopt the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit A, with the elimination of III - F(6), making effective the pmposed amend- ments . BEING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE HOUSING ELEMENT OF THE (~iERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALTFORNIA (GP 84-03). The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows: SECTION ONE: That the Housing Element of the General PIan of the City of Campbell is hereby changed and amended, said amendments being outlined in the document attached hereto as Exhibit A. SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall become effective 30 days following its passage and adoption and shall be published once within 15 days upon passage and adoption in the San Jose Mercury News, a news- paper of general circulation in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara.
