PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA.
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on
the application of Mr. Lorin Banfield for a variance of a 2' side-
yard setback rather than the required 5' setback to allow an addition
to a house on property known as 1209 Abbott Avenue in an R1-9
(Single Family Residential, 9,000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) Zoning
District, as per application filed in the office of the Planning
Director on January 31, 1984, and after presentation by the Planning
Director, the hearing was closed. (V 84-01)
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Commission
did find as follows:
1. The applicant demonstrated a hardship due to the unusual
lot configuration.
2. The hardship was not self-imposed.
3. The proposed variance will not be detrimental to the health, _
safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the
persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such
variance or be detrimental or injurious to property and __
improvements in the neighborhood or the general welfare of
the City.
The Planning Commission does hereby grant the variance as requested.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 2:8th day of February 1984 by the following
roll call vote:

1. Applicant to meet all requirements of the Santa Clara Valley Water
District.
2. Storage building in rear to be structurally attached to room ad-
dition.
3. Applicant to obtain all necessary permits from Building Department.
The applicant is notified that he/she shall comply with all applicable
Codes or Ordinances of the City of Ca~bell which pertain to this de-
velopment and are not herein specified.
