PC Res 2256 RESOLUTION NO. 2256 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO C9ERCIAL ON PROPERTIES KNOWN AS 12 52 $ 12 74 WALNUT DRIVE (GP 83-12). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed amend- ments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan from Low Density Residential (less than 3.5 units per gross acre) to Commercial on the easterly portion of properties known as 1252 ~ 1274 Walnut Drive, and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed. After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission does find as follows: 1. The proposed commercial land use would be compatible with the existing development along Winchester Boulevard. 2. The proposed changes are in the best interest of the City of Campbell. 3. Applicant to process, file and record parcel map combining the subject properties with properties having minimum frontage of 60' along Winchester Blvd. prior to second reading and adoption of this proposed amendment by the City Council. The Planning Commission does hereby adopt a resolution recommending that the City Council adopt the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit A making effect- ive the proposed amendment. Kee ecretary ORDINANCE NO BEING AN ORDINANCE AT~IDING THE LAND USE ELEMD~IT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA (GP 83-12). The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows: SEGTTON ONE: That the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of Campbell together with amendments thereto, is hereby changed and amended. Said amendments being outlined on the map attached hereto entitled Exhibit A. SECTION TWO: This ordinance shall become effective 30 days following its passage and adoption and shall be published once within 15 days upon passage and adoption in the Campbell Press, a newspaper of general circula- tion in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara.
